Planning a wedding is an incredibly personal and exciting experience and one that we thoroughly feel privileged to be involved with for each of our couples. For those just starting out on their wedding planning journey and who are considering appointing a wedding planner, we understand it is necessary, naturally, for them to understand how to choose a wedding planner and the processes that will take place once an initial agreement is made.
Today, we share an insight into the steps we at Love Lydia Weddings & Events take to ensure our couples are entirely taken care of and most importantly, have a wedding planner they can totally rely on!
So how does the appointment process work?
Following your initial enquiry, we will offer you and your partner a complimentary consultation call to discuss your wedding vision and requirements in more detail, whereby our Founder and Creative Director, Lydia, will personally speak with you and note any preferences and desires you wish to implement into your wedding or special celebration. Once we have gathered all the necessary information from you, we would look to create a bespoke and unique wedding proposal for you to view, tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. In-person consultations (these may be subject to a nominal fee) can also be considered should the initial call prove that we may, indeed, be the best Planner for you.
Following this, if a couple is happy to proceed, we will then formalise a contract to be sent over to you. Once this is signed, the real fun part begins as we dive into planning your wedding!
What can you expect from us?
You can be sure that we will be there to guide your hand through the entire process, whether you opt for our ‘Opulence, ‘Indulgence’ or ‘Luxe’ Collection services – i.e. full planning, partial planning and / or on the day coordination services. We will begin by providing you with a detailed budget evaluation based on your initial requirements and planning elements, so that you can see how we have carefully tailored all factors into your budget spend. We will also, ask you to share any initial visual ideas and inspiration you may have, that reflect your wedding or celebration vision so that we have a firm idea of your expectations and where necessary, we will create our own mood boards to reflect these and to help define the concept you desire. We pride ourselves in knowing that the delivered creation often exceeds our clients’ expectations!
Once all the above is intact, we will then start sourcing and contacting the various suppliers whom of which we have worked with before and /or know their reputation well, to ensure we find for you the best selection of suppliers within your allocated budget. Furthermore, throughout our entire role, we are available on emails and calls to answer any queries and concerns you may have along the way, so you can be assured that your wedding planning will be in safe hands!
