It’s one of the first questions we ask our couples. It really gives us an idea of how and when the relationship flourished and an insight into their personalities, their aspirations, their hopes and their dreams and finally how they arrived at this fantastic time of their engagement.
This one small question can lead to some of the most interesting, amusing and romantic stories that we have heard, and what’s more, no two are the same. We love these moments so much!
Take our beautiful couple who tied the knot recently at ‘The Grove Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa’ in Hertfordshire, Prince Tosin and Princess Kyoko. And no, those aren’t made up names!
Tosin is a real-life Prince of a gorgeous town in Nigeria and Kyoko, his sophisticated, Japanese bride, is a scientist-microbiologist who were introduced via a mutual friend.
In the early days, many described them as an unlikely pairing, however, despite having such contrasting roots, from their very first interactions, they were captivated with each other. It truly was a fairy-tale romance which developed rapidly and before they knew it, they were head over heels in love…
Another one of our love stories which spun over several continents, tells the romance of Vita and Kunal who lived on either side of the Atlantic Ocean, one living in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States of America.
Through her travels around Asia, Vita became acquainted with a woman from Chicago. Fast forward a few months, she was asked to be a bridesmaid for a friend’s wedding in California. This gave her the perfect opportunity to extend and make the most of her trip whilst catching up with some friends along the way.
Vita decided to explore Chicago on her spontaneous expedition and subsequently reached out to the lovely lady she met in Asia; however, her friend was quick to respond that she was out of town and suggested that Vita meet her son instead…
Many transatlantic journeys and holidays pursued, and fast forward a few years later, we had the pleasure of planning their lovely wedding at the stunning Northbrook Park, Surrey.
Last but not least, the romantic story of the beautiful Rohina, a teacher and Haroon, a policeman. These two love birds knew one another for many years but it was none other than a fluffy, white rabbit that finally bought them together.
Haroon’s caring nature saw him nurturing abandoned animals in-between his daily patrols.
When one day Rohina decided to adopt a furry companion, she was told of Haroon’s side venture and contacted him to arrange a meet-and-greet of the many animals he looked after at the time.
It was through the kindness of their hearts that they both met that day… their beautiful union was celebrated at the stunning Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire and was an absolute delight to be a part of.
If our beautiful couples have taught us anything throughout the years, it’s that time and unforeseen circumstances truly have a way of bringing two individuals together, regardless of their background, the distance between them or how unusual and unlikely the situation may be.
We adore how love has a way of defying all odds…
